Adeline Corridor Specific Plan

Adoption Date:

A community-driven vision for a future of greater economic opportunity, safer streets, more housing choices, and a greener, healthier environment in the area around Adeline Street in South Berkeley.

The Adeline Corridor Specific Plan expresses the community’s vision for the area along Adeline Street from Ashby Avenue to the Berkeley-Oakland border. Crafted over five years of public input, the plan envisions a future that honors the corridor’s history while creating opportunities for existing and future residents, businesses, and community organizations.

The plan identified five goals:

  1. Land use and community character
  2. Housing affordability
  3. Economic opportunity
  4. Transportation
  5. Public space
