Selective Replacement of Timber Piles at the Berkeley Marina

Construction was completed at the end of November 2023. A total of 66 timber piles were replaced at K, L, M N and O docks with concrete piles, select damaged piles were removed from J dock, and piles below the H&I dock restrooms were repaired with fiberglass jackets. All new piles have new steel pile guides with rollers. The project was under budget and on time.

The completion of this project was celebrated with the O & K Electrical Upgrades and Finger Dock Replacement project on December 1, 2023.  The conclusion of these $6M Marina infrastructure projects and the ground-breaking of 5 new projects totaling $27M was attended by Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks, Mayor Jesse Arreguin,  Councilmember Rigel Robinson, Councilmember Terry Taplin and City Manager Dee Williams-Ridley (see photo below)
