Sports Fields and Courts

The City of Berkeley offers a number of sport fields and courts for uses which can include baseball, soccer, tennis, pickleball and more, with access ranging from reservations to walk up.

Sports Field Reservations

The City of Berkeley has several sports fields that you can reserve for recreational use, including soccer, softball, or frisbee. Review the list of reservable sports fields below and read the rules of use.

These times and sites are reserved for general community use, not organized team play.

Use of Open Turf areas for Sport

No group shall use open turf spaces that are not designated as “Sports Fields” by the City of Berkeley to participate in drills, scrimmages or game like activities. These sports include, but are not limited to, baseball, football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse and golf. No cleats of any kinds are allowed to be used in parks not designated as “Sports Fields”.

Court Reservations

The City of Berkeley has several courts that you can reserve for recreational use, such as tennis, pickleball, basketball, or volleyball. All basketball and volleyball courts are walk-up only and are not reservable. To find a list of basketball or volleyball courts, visit the parks page and use the sports facility filter.

Most tennis and pickleball courts are reservable. Review list of reservable courts below and read the tennis courts rules and pickleball court rules.
